Eli R. Green is a seasoned educator based in Philadelphia, PA with a decade of experience developing and leading sexuality-related trainings, classes, and educational seminars. As a doctoral student at Widener University’s renowned Human Sexuality Education program, Eli has had the privilege of being formally trained in educational methodology by leaders in the field of sexology.
Developed through years in social justice and direct service settings, Eli’s goal as an educator is to foster positive social Change by increasing knowledge of, and personal comfort with sexuality-related topics. Eli has a particular passion for advocating for highly marginalized groups, such as LGBQ youth, persons of trans experience, and survivors of interpersonal violence. At the root of Eli’s teaching is a personal philosophy that all people deserve respect and equality, which is combined with a belief that education is an essential part of working towards this vision.

Education:
Eli has completed over 2,000 hours of highly specialized graduate study resulting in a MA in Applied Women’s Studies from Claremont Graduate University (2004) and a MEd in Human Sexuality Education (2008). Eli has completed all course towards a Doctorate of Human Sexuality Education at Widener University, and is currently completing a dissertation assessing the success of prejudice reduction programs.
Educator & Consultant Experience:
Eli has served as an independent sexuality educator and consultant since 2000. Eli has conducted over 1,000 hours of staff and volunteer sensitivity trainings, guest speaking, college courses and seminars, educational instruction, and consciousness-raising sessions at selected locations including:

Professional Experience:
Eli has over 10 years of professional experience in non-profit, educational, direct service and social justice settings, with 6 years of program management experience. This professional experience has included:
- Providing life skills, job readiness, and sexuality education to youth ages 14-21 who have been identified as high-risk by federal, state and local grants
- Working as an HIV harm reduction educator with LGBTQ youth at the The Hetrick-Martin Institute & teaching at the Harvey Milk High School in New York City
- Coordinating programming at the LGBT Resource Center at the University of California, Riverside
- Serving as a Case Manager and Client Advocate at the House of Ruth, Inc domestic violence shelter in Claremont, CA.
- Founding Director of the Saint Michael’s College Women’s Center.

Eli was the founder of Trans-Academics.org, a website dedicated to supporting the work of those who focus their academic work on transgender identities and experiences, which received the Richard L Schlegel Visionary Leader award in 2009. Eli also served as a founding board member of The Association for Gender Research, Education, Academia and Action, (AGREAA).
